FEMTO-TECH CRM-510
Femto-Tech CRM-510 is a portable instrument for measure of radon gas concentration in air, based on ionisation chamber. Sampling is passive by diffusion.






DESCRIPTION
Model CRM-510 performs continuous measurements. Radon concentration and environmental parameters data (temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity) are recorded every hour. Memory storage capacity is eight days. Long-lasting internal batteries have at least one year life. Data can be displayed, printed or downloaded to a PC via serial port.

PRINCIPLE OF MEASURE


The detector consists of an ionisation chamber. Radon diffuses into the chamber through a permeable membrane. When radon decays it emits an alpha particle that ionizes the air inside the room. Collecting ions produced by the ionization process leads to a passage of current in the chamber circut. The number of pulses counted is proportional to the radon concentration in the ambient.
