MR1 PLUS
MR1 PLUS Radon Monitor is a portable instrument for radon concentration measurement based on a scintillation cell detector. Applications are grab sampling, continuous measurement, radon sniffing. Both passive and active sampling are available. Several sampling methods and accessories allow  to perform radon gas analyses in soil, air, and water. 




PRINCIPLE OF MEASUREMENT
MR1 monitor is based on a scintillation cell detector. A 255 ml Lucas cell is coupled to a photomultiplier tube. Radon enters the cell either through a permeable membrane or a continuous airflow through the cell itself. When radon and radon daughters decay, alpha particles hit the zinc sulphide. The alpha particle energy is converted into luminous pulses that are amplified and counted.

Counting time intervals are set by the user from 1 minute to 99 hours. Internal memory capacity is 999 measurement intervals. Data can be shown on a display, printed out or downloaded via serial port. Software “Radon Explorer” allows remote control and data download via GSM modem.
